Hey Hey!
I’m back… from outerspace… well the hospital at least! That’s right, the hospital! Saturday Jen and I took our Senior HighYouth Group to Poley Mountain and it ended in disaster!
I was coming around the turn on the “Carousel” hill and hit a patch of ice, and off into the woods I flew. I laid in the snow for a few minutes, then managed to crawl my way out from being 10′ in the woods… when I looked down at my sore are.. what did I find? A ripped shirt? No… I lost my glove? No… I found a tree limb! That’s right folks… there was a 3.5″ long 2″ diameter tree limb lodged in my left bicep.
Dang did that ever hurt! After laying in the snow for 20 mintues, finally some french ski dudes came to the rescue (thanks wherever and who ever you are)
Off to the Sussex hospital I went, where all they could really do was get me high.. which was fun I guess. They sent me off to the Regional in Saint John where 6 grueling hours later, the limb was removed and I was sent home. Went back in the next day for a check up on it, where they decided that I wasn’t fit to go home due to infections and what not, so they admitted me and then 4 days later the infection went down (but not completely) and they decided I was able to go home because the drugs where working.
So now it’s gonna take a long time for the muscle to rebuild itself and for the hole in my arm to go away (cause they couldn’t close it up because it will trap in any infections) so that’s right there is a hole in my arm dear liza!
It hurts a lot right now, can’t move it. This entry has taken me about 30 minutes to type! So my thesis is going to take a long time to do, and bass and guitar are going to take a while to get going again, but I’ll get through it I’m sure.
Anyway’s that’s enough complaining from me.
Peace
Chris
