Sunday Set List #7

All week we were trying to set up the “best” time to practice for Sunday, but, due to being sick, it was really hard to get a time when I was feeling up to it.  So, the week flew by, and finally we said “ok, we HAVE to do it on Saturday morning” so I called everyone, and we planned for Saturday morning.

Friday morning, Jen and I wake up, guess who else is sick now.. thats right, Jen was feeling the same way I was now.. so, I started to get a little nervous for Sunday, so far, 2 of the worship teams 3 were sick! Saturday morning rolls around, we go to the church, despite being sick, Clint, our drummer shows up.. he looks a lot like we do.. turns out that he TOO is sick. GREAT.. all 3 of us are sick.. this is going to be a great day!

After practice, Clint and I went over to the rental building, and set up the sound gear, so that we could get maximum sleep Saturday night and not have to get up at 6am to go set up the gear. I sent Matt (our other sound guy) a text, to let him know that he wouldn’t need to be at the church until 7:20 Sunday morning, because the gear was all set up.

Sunday morning, I wake up, get clean, pack up my guitar, and I hear a beeping from my iPhone… its a text from Matt.. he’s out for the count, and is NOT going to be able to come to church.. oh boy.. how am I going to run sound, and lead worship.

Well.. we went over a little earlier than I had planned, and got a decent balance set, and I showed our projection guy how to adjust things if it was too loud.

One new thing that I did this Sunday, was my monitor set up.  I ran in ears this week.. and it worked great.. it cut down on our stage volume considerably, and, I could hear really well. All I did was run from the mixers Mon Out to my small 4 channel Berhringer sound board, then plug the OTHER monitor into the Berhringer, and plugged my ear buds into the Berhringer as well.. it was great..

Now.. on to the set list..

Wow! I will pray that you guys are all better this week. I love “Mighty To Save” the way Reuben Morgan does it on guitar. So simple. So powerful. We’re ending our service with it this week.
