We’re back.. sorry I didn’t post a SetList last week.. it’s been one of those really busy weeks.
I titled this week “The Emotional RollerCoaster” and heres why. I think for everyone, there are some times in worship that just set you off… for me its kids, when I see kids genuinely worshipping God, I loose it. We have a new family in our church.. huge family (14 kids) only a few of them were there this week (4 kids and mom) and this was actually my first time meeting them, because I’ve been away these past few weeks, between leading at other churches, and traveling for work, so I didn’t know who they were.
When we started into our first set, I noticed the mom’s expression during worship, she was loving every minute of it.. and I saw smiles on the kids faces (likely all under the age 10 if I had to guess) then during Forever (Tomlin) thats when I lost it.. one of the little girls and the little boy were just totally emersed in worship. You could see the joy in their faces, hands raised, they were enjoying a little piece of heaven. When I saw them totally soaking up God, I was just so filled with joy that I couldn’t hold them back.. the tears came.. I stepped back from the mic.. other singers kinda looked at me like “what the heck” then they realized what was going on, so they came to the fore front. This happened a few times throughout the service.. but for the most part, I held it together!
Team this week was:
Chris – Acoustic and Vox
Greg – Bass and Bkg Vox
Clint – Percussion
Angie – Piano and Bkg Vox
Joy – Bkg Vox
Tammy – Bkg Vox
