This is the Manic Monday Minute…

• Wow my back hurts! I don’t know what I did to it today.. but I’m having a really hard time walking tonight.
• Glad I have physio tomorrow!
• Last weeks Family Camp was neither great nor terrible for me.
• It was weird not having Jen there all day (she had to work 8-4 each day) so it was kinda boring having to parent all day.
• The teaching was amazing at camp, Kirk Wellum (of TBS) and Jim Clemens (of Port Perry Baptist Church) By Wednesday you will be able to download them Here.
• Today I decided it would be a good idea to do a little Mod on my MacBook.. my Apple logo is now blue.. it looks great.. but my iSight isn’t working.. I think I loosened the cable..
• It’s a good thing I have other webcams around.. we use them to chat with the fam back on the east coast.. so there are always spares lying around.. just in case..
• I finally found a messenger bag that I really like.. sadly it’s out of stock, so I’ll have to wait.. they have the medium version of it at Future Shop.. thats how I know I like it!
• Our Sunday “Family Movie Night in the Park” has been going really well. We’ve been averaging around 60 people, which is a great success for events at the Arts Centre!
• I finally got around to taking some photos of my new guitar.  You can see them here.
• The past few nights I haven’t been able to sleep.. not sure why.. but I’ve been laying in bed awake until 4am.
• Summer so far has been awesome! Montreal in June, camp in July, East Coast in August! going to be great.
• Our regular Admin Assistant Jessica is back in the office, after a year of mat leave… it’s great to have her back with the team.
• When you look at my sidebar on the right.. it looks like I’ve sold out.. part of it is because I have, and the other part of it is simply that I really like the groups/products I’m affiliated with.. now go buy the stuff!
• I finished “Jesus Loves You This I Know” by Craig Gross this past month.  Great book! I recommend you go get it.
• Half way through “Youth Ministry 3.0″ right now.. it’s been pretty good so far.

• This weekend we’ve got our big Skate Park Festival.. its a all day competition for skate, inline and bmx.. there will also be entertainment and fireworks… come check it out.. some amazing talent.
• The past few weeks at Madoc Baptist have been different worship band wise, as a lot of us were away at camp.. things will be back to normal this coming Sunday though.. excited to get back at it.

This is the Manic Monday Minute…

• I’ve been really bad at keeping up to date with the Manic Monday Minute
• Come to think of it, I’ve been bad at keeping my blog up to date with anything
• We had an amazing weekend with The Amazing Race fundraiser and raise nearly $4000
• Although Jen said she would never do The Amazing Race again, she’s already talking about next year (sucker.. but thanks!)
• My dad picked up his new sailboat this weekend.. I’m excited to get to PEI and get behind the helm  of his 28′ O’Day
• My back is not getting any better.. and it’s really bothering me
• I called the hospital today, and found out the MRI department is 13 weeks behind schedule.. how the heck do you get that backed up? So I had them add me to the cancelation list
• I’ve got a very promising grant to finish up tomorrow seeking funds for our potential new drop in centre
• Apple’s WWDC keynote was today.. and the iPhone 4 was obviously announced.. it’s pretty awesome
• I’m not sure why iOS4 (the new name of the iPhone OS) isn’t available for 2 weeks.. it’s been out for developers for months.. they so could have released it today
• I set up a cafepress store this past week so I could order some shirts with our Youth Unlimited logo on them… I’ve ordered 1 golf shirt so far, because I want to see the quality before I order more
• I’m really starting to get annoyed by all the Facebook TOS and Privacy changes.. I won’t be shocked if Facebook is shut down by the end of the year
• Facebook in general is starting to annoy me.. all the fake pages “like” us and we’ll show you this cool photo or video.. it’s obviously crap people..
• Life is starting to quiet down a little for me.. we have a Canada’s Wonderland trip on the 25th, but theres not a lot of work involved for me.
• On the 26th I head to Montreal for a week with the rest of our staff for our national staff conference
• I love national staff conference.. I find I leave with a new passion for this ministry
• A tornado tore through the small town of Lemington, Ontario this weekend
• I’m going to spend some time this month revamping my blog and making it a little more useful, I want it to be a useful place for people to come… not just a place full of my rants.. so stay tuned for the update

• I’m sick.. I avoided it the week before New Orleans.. but I got it the day after I got home
• This years New Orleans trip was amazing.. I would say top 2 of the 6 we’ve had
• While I love working with teens, I do get tired of them.. the end of the week came at the right time
• I am very glad to be home, and was very happy that Seth attacked me with hugs and kisses this morning when he got up
• I got a MagicJack while I was away.. going to give it a good run, and see how that goes (I’ll post about my experience later)
• I’ve got some decisions to make really soon about Africa.. it seems as though the funds aren’t coming in, and I cannot pay for it myself.. so I may have to postpone it
• I’ve got a couple weeks now with no major events.. I’m really happy about that!
• As per my previous post, I’m very confused about the use of YouTube and how people are cashing in on it
• I’m excited to be leading worship this coming Sunday.. it feels like its been forever
• Paul Baloche is playing in Belleville this week.. hoping to get together with him for lunch or supper if all works out
• I’m trying to figure out where the first 3 months of 2010 went.. hard to believe we’re already coming to the end of March.. where does the time go
• This week I go to Peterborough to pick up my custom made insoles.. excited to see how they help my back.. my friend Brian highly recommended them
• I got new kicks this week.. Nike Flights.. I’m really happy with them.. especially since they were only $20.. yay for the Nike Factory outlet store.. glad to have a supportive pair of shoes.. coupled with my new insoles, I should become unstoppable.. I hope

• Skating is hard.. yesterday I put on a pair of skates for the first time in 13 years, it WASN’T like riding a bike
• I’m getting really tired of my back problems..
• My trip ti Africa just became real today, when I received my tickets in my email.. no backing out now
• I’m actually really excited about Africa, and really need to get around to raising my funds for the trip.  I will be writing a blog soon about the trip and how you can donate
• I don’t understand how people can work full time jobs and do full time school.. I’m working on ONE course and having a hard time with the work load
• Despite the fact that in the past I’ve said I’ll never watch 24, because it seems boring, I’m hooked on this season.
• I got the new Boss VE-20 Vocal Performer this past weekend, and am really enjoying it
• This week was our second week to do a live broadcast of our service Sunday morning at Madoc Baptist.. had 17 viewers this week.. I don’t know where they are coming from but they are coming! you can watch a recorded service at http://live.madocbaptistchurch.com

- I love starting renovation projects
- I hate finishing renovation projects
- The main thing I hate about renovations is the mess it creates in the house.. I haven’t seen my kitchen floor since Saturday.. but it’s almost there
- I am glad that we are finally tackling our kitchen.. but it has been a lot of work so far.. but it will be worth it in the end.
- Yesterday was our first day in the high school for our Sunday services @madocbaptist church
- Our church is going to take a growth spurt due to the move, and we saw that even just yesterday
- Every Sunday for the past 7 months I’ve had an afternoon nap.. I didn’t this past Sunday, and I really felt it by 7pm Sunday night..
- Tomorrow I’m going to Kingston to take Seth to an eye specialist appointment.. no worries, its just a follow-up from the summer.. all is well.
- I’m really glad to have glasses now.. I didn’t realize how bad my eyes were until my glasses arrived.. and now when I take them off.. I feel blind..

• Today was my last day of vacation.. back at it tomorrow.. starting with a staff meeting
• It was really nice to go outside and play in the snow with my family
• I’m getting really tired of my back problems, because they prohibit me from playing with Seth for a long time.
• I wonder if my doctor is going to do anything more for my back…
  
• Getting excited for our video game night tomorrow at the church with all my students.. DJ Hero is going to be awesome!
• I had a really good Christmas with Jen and Seth
• It was weird not going to anyone’s house this year.. family or friend, for Christmas.. it was our first year in 5 years of marriage.
• Because of this site I’ve become incredible judgmental everytime I go to Wal-Mart.. and for the time being.. I’m ok with that..
  
• I’m not excited that Apple is releasing a Tablet.. I would much prefer a NetBook.. but alas.. I can’t get everything I want..
  
• I’m excited to go to Belleville tomorrow.. after my staff meeting and physio appointment, I’m going to go shopping and spend my gift cards I got for Christmas.
• I realized this week how much smart asses bug me.. I got really irritated in a conversation with a kid this week
• I’m really excited for my new glasses to arrive this week (I hope).. #1 so I can see and #2 so I can see if the website I ordered them from.. for $8 is actually good..
  
• I’m excited to see what this week is going to bring for our New Orleans trip.. we have 23 seats left, and the early bird price deal-line is Jan 1.. either its going to be a super busy week.. or, those last 23 people are going to be paying extra money.
• I decided this week that I’m going to start doing more photography.. not just the stuff for money.. but more stuff for me too..
  
• Had Seafood Chowder for supper tonight.. it was awesome.. so thankful for family who brings up Atlantic lobster and scallops and stuff for us when they visit.. and yay that it is safe to freeze!
• The stress of having only 1 car is really starting to rain on us.. but, we cannot even remotely afford a second one, so, we will just have to make due.
• Jennifer started taking down the Christmas decorations today.. which shocked me.. because she usually waits until the new year… but.. there are still a few things up..
  
• I love boxed turkey!!
  
• It’s time to start saving money for a new mattress.. we’ve been sleeping on an air mattress for the past 4 months.. and while its better for my back than the mattress that we had.. its still not great.. and its hurting Jens back too.
• It’s also time to start fundraising for my Africa trip in May.. If you want to donate, let me know
