I just realized that I didn’t do an update on my weekend. What a long day. Up at 2am, on the road by 3:00am arrive in Hamilton at 6:30am roads were TERRIBLE, bad snow storm. How long did we stand in line??? 3 hours… not because it was a long line up, but because TV takes a long time.. doing the “welcome to Hamilton” scene took about 10 tries because no one wanted to scream, cause they were trying to save their voices…. also we all had to sing together, the song from the winner the previous year… no one knew it, so that took 10 listens, then 10 takes to get it good enough for tv.
Starting number for auditions… 03557… my number 03693.. so not a huge wait. Get to the first judge… he’s a funny guy… 5 of us go in together… myself and 4 girls. The girls sing… no one is really that great.. I sing (3 songs in total) judges comments… you have perfect pitch, and you are a great guitar player… but you don’t project enough…. I figured this was a small critique to work on for the next judge (plus I was singing quieter songs) what does he say “I’m not going to waste your time and send you through because the judges won’t like that you don’t project” Continue Reading…
Hey Everyone,
in the next 15 minutes (its now 2:45am) Jen and I hit the road and head for Hamilton for the Canadian Idol auditions. If there is wifi in the mall (its the Eastgate Square Mall) I will do my best to do some updates throughout the day to let you all know what happens. It will likely be some video blogs,unless I just decide to post from my iPod Touch, but that will all depend on whats going on, how loud it is, all that fun stuff.
Well this weekend should be fun, I’m heading to Hamilton for some good ol’fashion Canadian Idol fun. I’m going more so for the fun than anything. While I was sitting here practicing up some tunes, I thought I’d do some youtube seraching and found this
